TUV Southwest offers a complete chemical analysis of metals for the Positive Material Identification that includes optical emission spectrography (OES), both at our laboratories and on site using our portable optical emission spectrography (OES)

TUV Southwest also employs a simple non-destructive test method called as XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy) by using Thermofisher Niton XLT 818 or Innov-X Alpha analysers.

Positive Material Identification, commonly known as PMI can be performed using several test methods. These instruments are widely accepted by various industries and especially the petrochemical industry where the precision test results are paramount.

Our Chemists have over 10 years’ experience performing chemical analysis of metal alloys. Determining elements such as C, P, S, Sn, As and B in steel Or Al, Mg, Si in Aluminium alloys in-situ

TUV Southwest Portable Optical Emission Spectrometer (OES) using a special UV Touch probe can measure these elements accurately.
